Following a highly robust and competitive tender process, Marketforce Perth has recently been appointed by WALGA as the master media agency responsible for WA Local Government advertising.
This Group Advertising Services contract is available to all WALGA Members and Associate Members, extending across all media platforms including TV, radio, out of home, print/newspapers, online, social and cinema.
Through the Group Advertising Services Contract, Local Government’s utilise a single point of contact for its booking and placement of all advertising. This contract maximises the value of the whole of sector’s spend through collective purchasing and delivers significant savings back to Local Governments through discounted media rates and added value initiatives. In the last financial year alone, councils saved over $1.7 million on their advertising via the contract.
WALGA CEO, Nick Sloan said the Association was pleased the tender process confirmed the merits of the existing arrangement: “Following a rigorous tender process, we are pleased to continue our strong relationship with Marketforce. Their knowledge of the Local Government sector and its advertising requirements are second to none and we look forward to evolving the contract over this new term to achieve the greatest benefit for our Members.”
Advertising undertaken by Local Governments is critically important to help keep people informed and updated on what’s happening in and around their local communities.
The advertising can vary significantly in nature ranging from small local notices on roads, rubbish collections and libraries, and statutory notices, right through to large integrated campaigns around destination marketing.
Due to the ever-changing media landscape, it is vital Local Governments make informed decisions on their channel placement in a cost- effective manner. Marketforce is delighted to continue its role as master media agency for WA local government.
Says Brad Haseldine, strategic client director: “We are extremely proud of our long-standing partnership with both WALGA and its individual Members. Our dedicated account service team work tirelessly to deliver quality service to all 139 Councils, often within super tight deadlines. This is a significant win for the agency, and we look forward to growing and strengthening our work with the Local Government sector over the coming years.”
