UnLtd and the WA media industry provide music to kids ears for the holiday season

The industry’s social purpose organisation UnLtd’s annual gift appeal for children’s charity Radio Lollipop has brought smiles to hundreds of kids at Perth Children’s Hospital over the festive season.

UnLtd and partners including Channel 10, Initiative Media, JC Decaux, Long Reach Media, Newscorp, and Nova united in the spirit of giving to raise $2,650 worth of vouchers and tangible items for Radio Lollipop throughout the month of December.

Radio Lollipop helps to provide care, comfort, play and entertainment service for sick children in hospital. In addition to the gift drive, leaders from across the industry took time out of their busy schedules to see Radio Lollipop volunteers in action and perform for children and their families at Perth Children’s Hospital.

Tia Brazier, General Manager of Unltd WA comments, “We are so appreciative for all the support that has come from the WA media industry and the generous donations that were collected as part of this year’s appeal.

“The festive period can often be a really difficult time for children and their families stuck in hospital but thanks to the generosity of the industry, we were able to lift spirits and spark some joy. Thank you to all who not only gave from their pockets but also dedicated time and energy to support the incredible work of Radio Lollipop.”

Melissa Spartan-Dawes, Charity Co-ordinator at Radio Lollipop comments: “We are overwhelmed with the donations and support the WA media industry and UnLtd have given to us this Christmas. The vouchers and supplies will lift the spirits of so many of the children we see daily and try to make their time at Perth Children’s Hospital a little brighter.

David Burger, Managing Director of Initiative adds: “We are so pleased to assist such a worthy cause. I hope that our contribution created some joy and happiness over the holiday period for the children.”
