UnLtd and Radio Lollipop call on the Perth industry to support annual donation drive

Social purpose organisation UnLtd, in partnership with international children’s charity Radio Lollipop, is calling on the industry to rally behind its annual donation drive.

The Radio Lollipop Arts & Crafts Appeal invites the community to donate gifts with all proceeds raised going towards sick children undergoing extended and short-term hospital care.

Art and craft supplies are the featured theme of this year’s call-out. Past popular donations have included stationery supplies, toys, puzzle books, jigsaws, matchbox cars and decorating kits. Individuals are also able to donate gift vouchers for Aussie retailers including Kmart, Woolworths or Coles.

Tia Brazier, General Manager of Western Australia at UnLtd, said: “We know our industry has a big heart and loves to rally behind a great cause. A small contribution can make a massive difference to sick and hospitalised children and their families. Last year we collected over 350 items and we’d love to exceed this goal for 2021. We’re calling on the industry to help us bring a smile to the faces of these children and make a real impact.”

Melissa Spartan-Dawes, Charity Co-ordinator at Radio Lollipop, said: “Being in hospital can be a daunting experience for anyone but especially for children who often struggle with fear and anxiety.

“At Radio Lollipop we provide care, comfort, play and entertainment for sick children in hospitals through our volunteer network. We are always grateful for any items that can help us keep them entertained and distracted through this challenging time.”

The campaign will run until Friday December 10th where all items and gift vouchers will be collected.
