Four-time WA Professional Photographer of the year, Simon Westlake, has launched his own venture.
Originally mentored by the legendary Noel Holly, Westlake then rose to achieve his reputation as one of Australia’s top photographers.
“I have been incredibly fortunate to have worked with some amazing clients throughout my time at Illustrations and have produced work I am extremely proud of. However, I’m excited to now be growing my own brand and representing myself independently in a more versatile model”, Westlake said.
“Recent work for UWA, Horizon Power (Rare), The Perth Mint (Brand Agency), Liquor Barons, Argyle Diamonds, TWA and the Nine Network, along with a one month unit photographer gig on the Warner Bros feature film, Mortal Kombat, has produced some of my best work.”
“I’ve also just completed my remote pilot and operator’s licenses, so I can operate drones unrestricted commercially. All this has opened up a raft of opportunities and has been a sensational springboard into 2020.”
With February booked and several assignments lined up for March, it seems Westlake won’t have time to look back.
“I’m thrilled to be hitting the ground running. It’s a wonderful start and I’m excited to see what the future holds”.
