Seven West Media – Trade Marketing Executive

Seven West Media, Australia’s leading media brand, has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Trade Marketing Executive to join the team.

Based in our Perth office, this role requires you to support the Partnerships & Trade Marketing Manager to identify and implement opportunities that drive revenue outcomes and support sales initiatives across all Seven West Media WA products – including The West Australian, PerthNow and Channel 7 Perth. Through creativity and a solid understanding of the media landscape, the role will develop marketing collateral and campaign activity to showcase our products and sell advertising opportunities and marketing solutions to clients and media buyers.

The key responsibilities of this position include:
Implementing trade marketing activity, promotions and sponsorships, including managing the creative development process, including processing print ad bookings, writing copy and managing creative briefs for the design team
Supporting our Events team in the delivery of trade events
Building and distributing EDM communications using Sendgrid in line with a strategic marketing calendar
Managing the Seven West Media WA Trade website and ensure it remains up to date as a critical trade communication channel
Managing content and engagement across our Trade social channels – LinkedIn
Drafting and distribute trade media releases
Coordinating trade marketing ad booking schedules, meeting booking and material deadlines
With support, analyse TV ratings and audience metrics to derive positive tactical messages that promote our products’ market position
Working with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver all creative assets needed to deliver trade marketing campaigns

Skills and experience:
Degree in communications, marketing, advertising or at least 2 years relevant working experience within the Perth media industry. Agency experience is desirable
Solid understanding of the WA media landscape and a passion for print, digital and broadcast media
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A creative thinker willing to think outside the box
High level of organisation and attention to detail
Collaborative nature and a can–do attitude

Seven West Media – Manager, Partnerships and Trade

Based in our Osborne Park office and reporting to the General Manager of Marketing, this role is focussed on securing and managing key partnerships across all Seven West Media WA brands and delivering a trade marketing strategy that showcases our products to advertisers and drives commercial outcomes. Working closely with partners and our internal sales team, the role requires the end-to-end management of partnership agreements, sponsored activations and events and trade marketing campaigns.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

Develop Seven West Media WA’s partnership strategy in line with key strategic partnership objectives
Manage client relationships and the delivery of over 50 partnerships across metro and regional Seven West Media brands
Develop, manage, and deliver integrated partnership campaigns to support strategic outcomes for partners
Contract management to ensure all partnerships are compliant to Seven West Media WA’s partnership policy
Manage Seven West Media WA’s brand activations (this position requires on the ground weekend work from time to time)

Demonstrate a deep understanding of Seven West Media’s brand, products, target audiences and Australia’s media landscape
Develop a comprehensive trade marketing strategy for the Seven West Media WA group to achieve revenue targets
Analyse TV ratings and audience metrics to derive positive tactical messages that promote our products’ market position
Work with the sales team to deliver creative ideas and opportunities for clients that generate new and incremental revenue
Manage and implement mass-market promotion of new product launches, key products and new revenue opportunities
Manage and review the current calendar of Seven West Media WA trade sponsorships

Management and mentoring of Trade Marketing Executive and Partnerships Executive
Work collaboratively with other marketing functions (publicity, promotions, brand, events) to generate ideas and share information and knowledge throughout the department to drive a consistent and integrated message to our audience
Work collaboratively with the General Manager of Marketing to ensure trade marketing and partnership plans works within overarching marketing strategy and activity plan
Skills and experience:

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Sales, Business and at least 5 years relevant working experience
Experience within a sponsorships, media or advertising agency environment is highly desirable
Strong commercial acumen and budget management experience
Solid understanding of the WA media landscape and a passion for print, digital and broadcast media
A creative thinker willing to think outside the box
Demonstrated ability to build and retain relationships at all levels
Demonstrable experience working in teams and independently to deliver business outcomes
Excellent organisational time management skills with the ability to meet stringent deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbal presentation skills

Based in our Osborne Park office, this role will report to the General Manager – Marketing. Using customer data and strategic insights, this position will be responsible for developing multi-channel and segment led campaigns to drive customer engagement and grow lifetime value. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a hands on approach and with strong digital marketing experience, including email.

Key Tasks
Develop, implement and optimise the direct marketing strategy to drive engagement and lifetime value
Plan, manage and execute the customer email strategy including email build, audience segmentation, deployment, testing and reporting
Analyse customer insights and data to develop a deep understanding of our customers and identify opportunities to drive growth
Assess and develop strategies to address key customer retention challenges
Manage and optimise the West Rewards loyalty program, working with the Retention Marketing Coordinator and external partners to deliver attractive offers, competitions and events
Work with key stakeholders across the business on initiatives to improve subscribers’ experience, product offering and program awareness
Undertake continual review and analysis to inform strategy and prioritisation

Essential Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing and practical marketing experience of 5+ years
Experience in a digital agency or organisation is desirable
Experience in digital marketing with a good understanding of audience segmentation and data led campaigns
Customer centric with a strong understanding of customer drivers, methodologies and supporting campaign tactics
Experience in email marketing including the ability to build an email, analyse results and optimise email strategies
A self-starter with experience across end-to-end campaign management and a willingness to utilise your own skills to deliver outcomes, track what you put in market and optimise for success.
Exceptional commercial acumen with proven ability to meet agreed targets within a revenue and expenditure budget.
