About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who has proven experience in developing digital marketing strategies with hands-on experience in SEO and paid advertising across search and social platforms.

You will have the opportunity to work on digital strategy consulting projects, SEO projects, digital experience projects, and paid advertising campaigns across various networks such as Google Ads & Google Shopping, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more. Google Ads and Meta certifications will be looked upon favourably, even if they have expired.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have digital marketing strategy experience working with clients in an agency environment and ideally have some client-side digital marketing management experience. You will also possess an understanding of data and analytics and have the ability to question, and investigate patterns with a critical eye and then form digital marketing strategies based on that data.

Your key responsibilities:
· Develop a deep understanding of the assigned client’s business and key objectives.
· Lead workshops to develop and deliver digital marketing strategies for clients.
· Leading the outstanding digital performance for your assigned clients.
· Creating and implementing award-winning Digital marketing strategies.
· Offer strong critical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address digital marketing strategy issues and opportunities.
· Delivering Search Experience Optimisation (SXO) strategies through the delivery of SEO, SEM, Content, and UX strategies.
· Developing and optimising paid advertising campaign strategies and implementing them across various networks such as Google Ads & Google Shopping, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and more.
· Combining data and analytics insights that address digital marketing strategies to deliver KPI frameworks and Google Looker Studio reports for clients.
· Reporting and confidently presenting results using real-world data.
· Work directly with the Account Managers, Performance Team members, the Senior Performance Marketing Manager, and the Head of Digital Marketing to establish and execute digital strategy.
· Working with strategy, UX and development teams to help deliver exceptional digital products and experiences that move people to action.

Skills you’ll possess: 
· Experience in the development of strategies for the delivery of services in the areas of SEO, SEM, Social Media, conversion rate optimisation, digital campaign management, email marketing, analytics and reporting.
· Demonstrated experience of strong digital marketing strategy performance, deriving insights and producing outcomes
· Professional Google and social network advertising experience working with agency clients and ideally in-house as well.
· An understanding of data and analytics – the ability to question and investigate patterns with a critical eye and develop strategies from this analysis.
· A proactive attitude that can be applied to your clients’ work, the team around you, and the business.
· Confidence to take ownership of your work and clients’ accounts, with support from your team.
· Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and active listening skills.

Flexibility Options
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary but the option to job share or work part-time 3+ days per week could be available to the right candidate.

A Day in the Life of the Lead Developer Role
In the newly created role of Lead Developer, you will take the lead in the development and implementation of WordPress-based websites for our diverse range of clients across a range of sectors and industries, creating custom themes, developing advanced functionality, and ensuring high-performance and user-friendly experiences. As the team leader, you will also provide day to day people leadership to a small team of developers to inspire a culture of high performance synonymous with the Slick brand.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the full lifecycle development of WordPress-based websites, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment;
· Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the small team of Developers adopting a people leadership approach aligned to our values to share best practice and contribute to professional growth;
· Collaborate with UX Designers, Graphic Designers, Project Managers, and other Developers to translate client requirements into functional and visually appealing websites;
· Create custom themes, plugins, and modules using best practices and industry standards;
· Optimise websites for speed, performance, and scalability, ensuring an exceptional user experience across various devices and browsers;
· Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any issues or bugs.
· Integrate third-party APIs, extensions, and plugins as needed;
· Maintain and update existing WordPress websites, including troubleshooting and implementing necessary enhancements or modifications;
· Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in WordPress development and related web technologies; and
· Contribute to project estimation, proposal development, and client consultations as a technical expert.

· Proven experience as a WordPress Web Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing custom WordPress websites.
· In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and the ability to develop custom functionality using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
· Expertise in building responsive and mobile-friendly websites, ensuring compatibility across various browsers and devices.
· Proficiency in MySQL database design and optimization for WordPress.
· Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment workflows.
· Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques, SEO best practices, and web accessibility standards.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Proven experience in leading projects, mentoring junior developers, and providing technical guidance.
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.

Bonus points for:
· Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and headless WordPress.
· Knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce.
· Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools.
· Understanding of web security best practices and experience implementing necessary security measures.
