Campaign Brief recognises and showcases the great work that is being produced in the region with The Work 2022 Contenders…

Toyota Australia: Breaking Point
Saatchi & Saatchi Australia
To celebrate its partnership with the Tokyo Olympic Games, Toyota Australia launched ‘Breaking Point’, an integrated campaign celebrating its work with Paralympian Ryley Batt and showcasing the event’s “Mobility For All” philosophy. The campaign focused on the athletic abilities of Ryley Batt during a game of wheelchair rugby, whilst also demonstrating how Toyota’s Product Planning & Development (PP&D) team worked with Ryley to re-engineer elements of his wheelchair to ensure he can perform at his best.

Support Act: Made From Melbourne
Saatchi & Saatchi Australia
During the pandemic and with the help of an incredible range of supporting partners, Saatchi & Saatchi Australia launched Made from Melbourne, a project designed to celebrate and support the live music industry, which is integral to the cultural fabric of Melbourne. At the project’s heart was a one-off guitar made with timber sourced from the four most iconic music venues in Melbourne – The Tote, The Espy, The Corner and Cherry Bar. The guitar, crafted by internationally renowned local brand Maton, is a one-of-a-kind semi-acoustic called the MM3000.

The guitar and its story are told in ‘Made From Melbourne,’ a documentary exploring live music and the fight to keep it alive in Melbourne – told by artists, industry figures and a passionate live music community. The documentary aired nationally on Channel Nine and is available to stream across multiple platforms.

Following the launch of the film, the MM3000 guitar will live on in the venues of Melbourne, with a schedule of gigs and events throughout 2022. The guitar itself is being considered for heritage listing by the State Government of Victoria and will eventually be on permanent display at the Melbourne Arts Centre.
