The Nine Backstage Experience gets underway at the top of the terrace
The Nine Backstage Experience officially kicked off yesterday, opening its doors to Perth’s emerging talent from local media agencies for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the home of 9News Perth at the top of St Georges Terrace.
Designed to give industry insiders an authentic peek behind the curtain, the tour offered guests an up-close look at the heart of Nine’s local broadcast operations.
Attendees began their journey in the newsroom, experiencing the high-energy pulse of daily reporting and seeing firsthand how major local stories are developed in real time. From there, the group visited the hair and makeup department, the master control room and editing suites, before stepping onto the main studio floor for an immersive station presentation where 9News 6.00 Presenter Michael Thomson and 9News Afternoon at 4.00 Presenter Monika Kos also dropped by to say hello.
Inside the main studio, Nine’s Senior Sales Executive Isabella Maynard and Sales Executive Chey Fewings led an insightful session on how agency partners can sharpen their Total TV knowledge more effectively. Nine then shared practical tips and tricks to help clients maximise these platforms.
The inaugural session was just the first wave of the experience. With two more tours scheduled for October, Nine will continue connecting local agency partners directly with the team, talent, and technology driving Perth’s media landscape.
