The Communications Council hosts Effies ‘The Work Behind The Work’ in Perth

The Communications Council hosted the Effies ‘Work Behind the Work’ event in Perth this week, with more than 100 WA industry members packing the sold-out venue at Palace Cinemas.

 

MC for the night was Steve Weaver (Director of Research, Insights & Education at ThinkTV Australia, major sponsor of the Effie Awards). Attendees heard from Robert Brittain, one of the world’s most respected authorities on advertising effectiveness, who recently co-authored the ground-breaking report Australian Advertising Effectiveness Rules with well-known effectiveness researcher, Peter Field.

It is a first look at the new Australian Effies database. For the Work Behind The Work segment of the event, Hannah Muirhead (Strategy Director at The Brand Agency) presented their Effies Gold-winning ‘Hungry Puffs’ campaign, while Mark Green (The Communications Council Chairman; CEO & Co-founder of The Monkeys) and Scott Nowell (CCO & Co-founder of The Monkeys) presented their Effies gold-winning NRMA campaign.

The event proved a great night of insights, branding and strategic thinking – celebrating commercial creativity and how advertising can deliver tangible outcomes for brands and clients.
