The Brand Agency hosts festive end-of-year wrap up for #TDKtuesdays

Last night saw The Brand Agency host student design group, The Design Kids, for their #TDKtuesdays end of year event. Around 60 design students and graduates squeezed into The Brand Agency’s boardroom to hear from the Agency’s design team, giving insights into their process and approach to creating and managing some of WA’s most iconic brands.

TDK has now expanded to over 70 cities globally, working with design students and graduates, offering them industry knowledge, exposure and opportunities into the creative industry.

“Visiting The Brand Agency has always been a popular event on the TDK calendar,” says Ross Hatton, The Design Kids’ Perth Host. Having the support of local agencies to give up and coming designers greater exposure to the design industry is a very special thing. I’m thrilled that the team from Brand were able to offer not only their valuable insights, but also spend quality time with us to help educate and inspire the next generation of designers.”

The Brand Agency’s Head of Design, Dan Agostino, led the presentation along with fellow team members Katie Pelosi and Kiara McIlroy. “It’s really important for our industry to help out and give back to students – whether it’s through The Design Kids, AGDA, or the PADC – every little bit helps,” says Agostino. “I remember how hard it was to get my foot in the door, shopping your portfolio around town and hoping for that ‘big break’. I only wish there were industry events and opportunities like this around when I graduated all those years ago.”

It forms part of The Brand Agency’s overall commitment to supporting the student community and fostering emerging talent.
