The Brand Agency creates a stellar new wall mural for local children’s charity

The Brand Agency’s design team have volunteered their artistic abilities once again in creating a piece of wall art that’s out-of-this-world for local children’s not-for-profit, Kids Are Kids! The 5-metre mural was hand painted at the organisation’s new Armadale facility with the assistance of many of the center’s children and families as a part of the Agency’s volunteer day initiative.

Kids Are Kids! Therapy & Education Centre are a non-for-profit organisation that provides assessment, therapy and support for children at all levels of developmental disability or delay. Working with families, they provide quality, individualised services that help many disadvantaged and vulnerable WA children to learn specific skills, develop confidence, become independent and/ or participate in their community.

“The Brand Agency team have captured our Kids Are Kids! vision and mission in a fun and playful way for all our children, families, and staff to enjoy for many years to come,” says Teresa Barrie, Executive Officer at Kids Are Kids. “This mural is such an important part of our new premises, and we are so grateful to everyone involved.”

The artwork provides a moment of colour and vibrancy as children enter the centre, while showcasing the organisation’s mission and values – ‘to help children learn, grow and flourish through therapy and family support’. The carefully chosen palette provides a hint of vibrancy while recognising the important role colour and tone play in therapy.

“We wanted to make sure that the kids were central in creating the piece so to be able to volunteer our skills once again in helping an organisation like Kids Are Kids! has been such a rewarding experience,” says Dan Agostino, Head of Design at The Brand Agency. “When the children come through the door and see the mural, you can see their faces light up from the very second they see their art on the wall.”
