St John WA acknowledged with almost perfect RepTrak Charity reputation score
St John WA has been recognised by the public for its excellent reputation, securing a reputation score of 97 out of a possible 100 points using RepTrak’s Charity reputation model and scoring methodology.
The mark of excellence was awarded to St John WA due to the community’s confidence in its services, citizenship and reputation, as it continues its 130-year mission to build resilience throughout communities in the largest state in the country.
Acknowledging that strong perceptions on healthcare charities remain influenced by the global pandemic, the 2020 Report reveals Australians are raising the bar on expectations for charity assistance as they deal with the repercussions brought about by COVID-19.
St John WA Executive Director, Communications and Brand, Aaron Crowther (pictured), said: “The rise in expectations of Western Australians was coupled with the organisation’s ambitions to provide world leading pre-hospital care, building resilience in community.
“The past 12 months has seen our service go from strength to strength as we maintain our commitment to providing the community with excellent care. It is a challenge at the best of times, let alone during a pandemic, but our people are amazing and deserve this acknowledgement because our brand is a reflection of them and the impact they have on society.”
The RepTrak Company’s SVP APAC, Oliver Freeman, said: “These results revealed the extremely high level of trust, admiration and respect held for St John’s Ambulance among the Western Australian population. In fact, this was one of the strongest levels we’ve recorded for any not-for-profit organisation.”
Key insights from the survey showed 92 per cent of the community trusts the charity do the right thing and would welcome the charity into their community, and 89 per cent would provide verbal support.
St John WA last year launched a fundraising arm for the organisation, St John Giving. The new division aims to close the resilience gap across Western Australia so that every child, family and individual has a fair and equitable experience of wellbeing, safety, quality of life and community.
