Search specialists Bonfire named 2019 Campaign Brief WA Digital Agency of the Year
Bonfire has won Campaign Brief WA’s Digital Agency of the Year award for 2019.
Operating principally in the highly specialised field of Search, Bonfire has proved to be experts in working across Google to deliver outstanding results for its clients.
Recently celebrating its seventh year in business, Bonfire’s extraordinary success is highlighted by its staff growing to 43, making it one of the state’s most significant marketing agencies of any kind. Given the relatively narrow, specialist field it works in, it’s an impressive achievement.
As well as attracting clients eager to tap into their expertise, Bonfire’s key staff members are also sought-after speakers on the arcane world of Search algorithms.
Previous winners Equilibrium (2017) and Juicebox (2018) also enjoyed very successful years, producing some highly-refined brand-building campaigns that show just how sophisticated both of these agencies have become.
Bang Digital, Digital Loop and Marketforce also showcased some excellent work, combining technology with strong strategic insight.
In fact, a noticeable trend in this year’s submissions was an increasing emphasis on strategy, as digital marketing matures and moves beyond clever technical executions for their own sake. Marketforce’s campaign for the Australian Automobile Association in the run-up to the Federal election was a case in point.
The surprise packet this year was Firefly360, which in the space of just 18 months has racked up some impressive projects for high-profile clients including Mrs Macs, Air New Zealand, Mirvac and West Coast Eagles.
All the submissions show there is a high degree of innovation and expertise within the local digital industry, providing some great agency options for clients.
The seven finalists are featured in the September edition of Campaign Brief WA, out next week.
