Scherri-Lee Biggs returns to 9News Perth screens to present weather this Sunday

Scherri-Lee Biggs will return to 9News Perth to present the weather from this Sunday, December 1, at 6.00pm on Nine and 9Now.

Biggs, a warmly familiar face on Nine Perth for over 10 years, returns from maternity leave following the birth of her first daughter to deliver Perth’s comprehensive weather reports Sundays to Wednesdays.

Natalia Cooper will continue to share weather presenting duties for the rest of the week.

Biggs said: “I’m keen to reconnect with our viewers in a role I love, presenting the weather out in the community for our 9News Afternoon 4.00 and 9News 6.00 bulletins.

“I’m loving motherhood, it’s such a blessing, and I’ve been humbled and grateful for the love and support we’ve received from our family, friends and viewers. Now it’s great to be back on air.”

9News Perth’s Interim News Director, Michael Genovese, said: “We’re excited to welcome Scherri back after spending time with her new family. Thank you to Kelly Haywood and Natalia for holding the weather fort in Scherri’s absence. She will have your latest summer forecast this Sunday.”

Biggs joined Nine Perth as weather presenter in 2014. In a decade with the Nine Network, she has presented the national weather on the Today Show, hosted Postcards WA in 2016, and starred in Nine’s hit reality TV series, Celebrity Apprentice Australia in 2021. As well as doing the weather, she will continue as a regular presenter on local lifestyle programs including Destination WA.
