Sad Times: Perth is OK! & Social Meteor celebrate Christmas early in Fremantle

Office buddies, independent media outlet Perth is OK! and local marketing agency Social Meteor teamed up on Friday to celebrate Christmas a bit early.

The two companies had a lot to celebrate this year; each with new hires, continued growth and awards, including Social Meteor’s Creative Director, Benjamin Hardy, winning Art Director of the Year at the recent PADC awards. So, it was only fitting that the theme for the day was “Goth Christmas” and smiling was strongly discouraged.

The two teams ventured out to Fremantle to paint the town black, starting with drinks and odd looks at National Hotel, into a long lunch and cocktails at Republic of Fremantle, into beers in the sun at Patio and ending with the inevitable private karaoke room singalongs.

When asked about the festivities, Perth is OK’s co-founder and Head of Content, Blake Kelleway said: “Life is suffering.”
