Rare, Meerkats and Block score finalists at Ad Stars 2020; in the running for US$10,000 prize

Rare, Meerkats and Block are the only WA agencies to figure amongst the finalists at the AD STARS 2020 Awards.

 

The competition attracted 20,028 entries from 60 countries, with 1,651 finalists being shortlisted.

Rare has two: WA Primary Health Alliance in Film (Campaign); and CD Dodd ‘Scrap Metal Jingle’ in Radio & Audio (Campaign).

Meerkats’ finalist is also in Radio & Audio (Single), for St John WA ‘First Aid Essentials’.

Block’s finalist is in the special Pivot category, which celebrates campaigns that have “amplified and repositioned brands in response to COVID-19, for Otherside Brewing ‘Plan C’. It is one of only two finalists from Australia in that category.

All shortlisted entries are now in the running to win two Grand Prix of the Year trophies and a cheque for US$10,000.

Australia has the highest number of finalists with 203, led by M&C Saatchi Sydney (21), VMLY&R (20), Clemenger BBDO Sydney (19), Ogilvy Australia (18) and whiteGREY (16).

Winners will be announced online on September 7.
