Perth Radio Survey #4: Nova continues to hold overall #1 spot, Mix 94.5 retains #2 and there are good increases for 6IX and 96FM

Nova 93.7 has topped the GFK Perth radio ratings survey for the fourth time in a row this year. Stela Media’s Marianne Stelmach, who has over two decades of radio industry experience, takes a closer look at the results of today’s GFK Radio Survey 4, 2021.

Nova continues to hold on to the #1 overall ranking with Mix 94.5 continuing to retain #2. Survey 4 also saw increases from 6IX and 96FM.

#1 Overall – Nova
#1 Breakfast – Nova’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun
#1 Drive – Nova’s Kate, Tim & Joel

Nova are clearly showing they are the #1 Radio Station in Perth after four surveys and with no change to their line up in 2021 – even after a slight decrease in their overall share from GFK Survey 4! They are dominating with their Breakfast and Drive Shows.

Mix 94.5 have done well to retain their #2 position followed closely by 96FM. Mix 94.5 had their biggest increase in the 18 to 39 demographic and increased their Breakfast Share to be clear #2. They have also held on to being #1 in the 40-54 demographic.

96FM have closed the gap between them and 94.5 in the overall Share and had a big increase in the 55 to 64 year olds leading away from the pack.

6PR’s Breakfast program with Gareth Parker has kept his #3 position even after a slight decrease. 6PR’s night show with Todd Johnson has increased audience to become #1.

92.9 Triple M gained audience in the 25 to 39 demographic to retain #2 position but had a hit in dropping their numbers in their Breakfast and Drive Shows.

6IX had the biggest win overall with a 1.9% Share increase. Ian Blackley’s breakfast show also gained a 2% increase.
