PADC announces jury panel following record entries for 2024 Skulls awards

After a busy two weeks of judging, the Perth Advertising and Design Club has announced its jury line up for this year’s Skulls Awards.

 

Following the announcement of Adam Ferrier as Chair of Judges, the internationally renowned jury featured more than 25 designers, creatives and craft specialists from around Australia and New Zealand.

Laura Vulling, PADC General Manager, said: “The diverse experience of the panel led to insightful discussions and deep consideration around every entry.

“The level of detail applied to each piece of work was extraordinary, reflecting the exceptional quality of creativity coming out of WA. In fact, the calibre of this year’s entries sparked such passionate debate that the biggest challenge was moving through all the work!”

Split into three main rooms, they were led by:
Adam Ferrier, Founder, Thinkerbell – Creative, Radio, and Film jury
Prue Jones, Design and Creative Director at Accenture Song Melbourne – Design, Print, and Art Direction jury
Patrick Guerrera, APAC Lead for M&C Saatchi Consulting – Digital, Technology, and Social Media jury.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of the creative work coming out of WA,” says Guerrera, who is also on the D&AD Global Advisory Board. “It is always punching way above its weight so I couldn’t wait to judge the PADC Skulls this year.”

Jones, who also judged the 2023 Cannes Design Lions, said: “I saw what WA had to offer a couple of years back in these awards and I believe some of the best thinking and work in the country is done out of this state.”

With a record number of entries to work through, the jury room discussions concluded during the week.

All award winners will be announced at the PADC Skulls Awards ceremony on Friday, 15th November, with tickets on sale shortly.
