Overwhelming turnout for the WA Marketing Association ‘Experience Matters’ breakfast function

The newly founded WA Marketing Association (WeAreWAMA) kicked off their event schedule with a sell-out breakfast at Fraser’s on Tuesday.

With over 300 in attendance, it felt like every marketer in WA was there to hear the high calibre panel discuss Experience Matters (XM).

Gavin Bain (Wunderman Thompson) hosted the panel which included Peta Maddock (Water Corporation), Susie Davison (HBF) and Danielle Giles (Scitech). The three marketing leaders shared their unique journeys into Customer Experience Management, and how they’re currently addressing the complex topic in their respective organisations.

The event reinforced WAMA’s importance in the WA market, with the event bringing together senior marketers from a broad range of organisations and agencies. The local industry has been quick to support the new association, with an already impressive list of sponsors and partners.

The not-for-profit association aims to champion WA’s world-class marketing talent and encourage brighter, braver and more effective marketing practices, through knowledge sharing, collaboration and networking.

With dust barely settled on the event, the WAMA Committee are already busy planning the next event, due in a couple of months. With the date to be confirmed shortly, follow them via LinkedIn (WeAreWAMA) or Facebook (WeAreWAMA) for more details.
