One-hour local premiere special Explore WA on Channel 9 & 9Now

In the one-hour premiere of Explore WA, hosts Trevor Cochrane and radio personality Nikki Parkinson take viewers on an exhilarating caravan and camping adventure, exploring the best of the West and East Kimberley regions, this Friday at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Cochrane embarks on a journey to the vibrant town of Broome, where he soaks up the sun and takes a stunning 4WD drive along the 22-kilometre stretch of pristine white sand edged by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean at Cable Beach.

He gets an insight into the fascinating process of modern pearl farming, from the ocean to the showroom, at the Willie Creek Pearl Farm and finishes the day with a visit to Zookeepers by Spinifex Brewing Co.

Meanwhile, Parkinson immerses herself in the rugged wilderness and awe-inspiring scenery of Kununurra, the gateway town to the East Kimberley. She stops off at Zebedee Springs, while driving along an adventure seeker’s dream, the Gibb River Road.

Parkinson finds one of the state’s most unique gems – the Argyle Pink diamond at Kimberley Fine Diamonds.

Explore WA will take viewers on a different caravan and camping escape, showcasing the Kimberley’s rugged beauty, diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage that highlights the never-ending splendour of Western Australia.
