Ten years after launching in Sydney and Melbourne, NOVA Entertainment has officially unveiled Smooth FM to the Perth market. Held in the luxurious setting of Mansions at Crown Perth, guests were treated to Aperol Spritz on arrival and fine dining canapes, combined with a curated Smooth FM playlist, bringing the winning ‘feel good’ formula to the night. The intimate event was attended by key category exclusive launch partners Complete Home Filtration and Bedshed, as well as key clients from the Perth market.
Smooth FM’s evening announcer Cameron Daddo was joined by new More Music Breakfast Show announcer Kate Mac to welcome guests. NOVA Entertainment’s National Commercial Director Luke Minto and Perth’s Commercial Director Antonell Doyle hosted the formalities of the evening, sharing the extraordinary success Smooth FM has had to date, with its more music and less talk formula. Also in attendance were Nova 93.7 breakfast announcer’s Nat Locke and Shaun McManus. Celebrating the station’s emergence, Doyle states: “We’re so excited that after 10 years, this incredible radio brand is not only available to our listeners in Perth, but also our agency and direct client partners.”
Kate Mac can be heard on Smooth FM Perth from 5.30am weekdays on digital radio, smart speaker or via the Smooth FM player.
Mac said: “Being able to return to full time radio in my home town is just so exciting. I grew up in Perth, my roots are here and Nova Entertainment is where my radio career all started so it really feels like I’ve come home. My first week has been so much fun, the music is such a pleasure to play which makes the early mornings totally tolerable and I couldn’t feel more supported by the team. It all feels very right for my time of life right now.”
