NOVA 93.7 and MIX 94.5 lead overall performances following GFK Survey 1

Nova 93.7 has retained the #1 position overall following the release of the first GFK radio survey of the year. Despite a drop of 0.7% Nova sits on 13.6%, in front of #2 station MIX 94.5 on 12.6%.

Southern Cross Austereo stations MIX 94.5 and 92.9 Triple M both underwent station rebrands prior to the Survey period with MIX 94.5 improving 0.6% overall and 92.9 Triple M declining 0.7% to 8.0% overall.

96FM also experienced a decline overall to 9.8%. 6PR improved 0.3% to 8.2% and 6IX rated 4.4%.

The Breakfast session again saw Nova rank #1 with 15.2%. MIX 94.5 bounced up 1.2% to #2 with a 12% share and 96FM Breakfast increased 0.6% to 8.9%. Triple M’s new Basil, Xav & Jenna Breakfast show rated 7.7% (down 1.3%).

Neve Media’s Debra Neve said: “In my opinion Triple M’s performance was a better result than I expected, considering only 96FM has been able to launch a new line up/format and get the amazing results that they did – a real anomaly. I also expected that 94.5 would have dropped more as a result of their changes, but they didn’t.”
