Nine Perth supports Ronald McDonald House Charities WA’s Ride For Sick Kids 2024

Nine Perth’s Managing Director, Clive Bingwa and 9News Perth’s Paddy Sweeney will once again join a peloton of cyclists for the annual Ride For Sick Kids WA, helping raise much needed funds to support families with sick or injured children.

Over the last 11 years, WA’s Ride For Sick Kids has raised over $3.5 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities WA. Now in its twelfth year, the 2024 ride which departs today, will see forty enthusiastic cyclists venture through the State’s South West to help raise in excess of $390,000.

Sweeney, who will step off the 9News set and hop on his bike for the next four days alongside Bingwa, is looking forward to taking part in the trek for a third year.

He said: “It’s a privilege to once again ride with other inspirational individuals during this challenging yet rewarding journey, helping RMHC WA’s extraordinary work supporting families when they really need it.”

Nine Perth is the major media partner of the event, with Bingwa saying: “It’s a humbling collaboration with a passionate purpose.

“The Ride For Sick Kids is not only an important fundraiser for RMHC WA, it’s a chance to help further raise awareness about their vital work helping Western Australian families every day of the year.

“Nine Perth is proud to once again support the ride and I encourage everyone please dig deep and donate.”
