Nine Perth extends HBF Run for a Reason media partnership through to 2029

Nine Perth and HBF have renewed their long-standing media partnership for Western Australia’s largest community running event, the HBF Run for a Reason, extending their agreement to support the event each year across 2027, 2028 and 2029.

The decision builds on an already successful, innovative, and trusted collaboration between the two premium WA brands which began in 2018.

Owen Davies, General Manager Marketing at HBF, said: “Nine Perth’s partnership helps bring the HBF Run for a Reason to life and amplifies its impact across the community. With Nine Perth, we have a passionate, progressive partner deeply committed to the WA community, and we are thrilled to extend our collaboration through to 2029 as we continue working together to make a positive, lasting impact.”

Both organisations remain dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Western Australians. Through their ongoing collaboration, Nine Perth and HBF will continue to amplify the event’s reach, inspiring participation, fostering community connection, and driving meaningful support for local causes across the state.

Nine Perth Managing Director, Clive Bingwa, said the renewal reflects the strength of the relationship and a mutual commitment to Western Australia.

“Extending our partnership with the HBF Run for a Reason through to 2029 is a milestone we’re exceptionally proud of. The event is an icon of WA, and together we’ve built something that extends far beyond a traditional media agreement – it’s a shared dedication to the health and spirit of our community.

“We are excited to build on our momentum alongside the HBF team, leveraging Nine’s statewide platforms to elevate this benchmark event to new heights and deliver meaningful outcomes for West Australians.”

The extension comes as major media partner Nine Perth helped the HBF Run for a Reason reach historic heights earlier this year, with a record-breaking 40,000-plus participants taking to the streets on the weekend and more than $1.8 million raised for WA charities.
