Nine Perth engages the community at the record-breaking HBF run for a reason 2024

An incredible 37,000 people ran, walked and wheeled their way through the streets of Perth yesterday for the annual HBF Run For A Reason – the biggest in the event’s history.

Media partner Nine Perth once again proudly supported the event with 9News personalities including Michael Thomson, Tracy Vo, Natalia Cooper and Monika Kos interviewing and interacting with racegoers at the start line in the CBD, before congratulating them at the finish line at Gloucester Park.

The Nine Zone once again proved a popular attraction with thousands of families enjoying giveaways, kids activities and the 9News experience, and the Network’s popular entertainment stars were on ground for meet-and-greets including Kyle & Leslie from The Block and Dianne and Shane from LEGO Masters.

Nine Perth Program, Marketing & Communications Manager, Peter Brennan, said: “The HBF Run For A Reason has once again proven itself as WA’s biggest and much-loved community running event and it’s a privilege for Nine to be involved in this hugely successful and popular day. Congratulations to all those who participated and volunteered their time to help raise significant funds to support charities across Australia. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!”

This year more than $1.2 million has been raised for more than 280 charities, bringing the total amount raised since 2010 to more than $12.5 million. Donations can still be made via hbfrun.com.au until the end of June.
