Nani and Lush collaborate on ‘Walking between two worlds’ workshop at Emergence Festival

Kevin Wilson, creative director and co-owner of Nani Creative, and Clare Reid, newly appointed CEO of Lush, are presenting their workshop, ‘Walking between two worlds’, on Wednesday the 20th of March at Emergence Festival.

In this session, the duo will speak to their creative collaboration and experiences bringing Aboriginal stories and creativity into the space of commercial communications and branding.

As an Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal creative team, their session aims to create a safe environment to speak about their experiences walking between two worlds – how they have navigated engaging with Aboriginal artists and respectfully consulting with community, discerning which stories are whose to tell, and keeping their intentions front and centre.

Reid said: “If we agree that our society needs more work exploring the rich meaning of First Nations’ culture and Country, we need to make space for these discussions at festivals like Emergence.”

Throughout their creative partnership, Wilson and Reid have worked with their teams to pull off some big changes in the world of communications and brand strategy, visual arts, and written content. While they are currently working on the creative assets for the new Aboriginal Cultural Centre, they were also part of the team behind the Wadjemup / Rottnest Island rebrand.
