#MeetTheMedia full day networking event returns to Perth at AIM WA in September

The names and dates for #MeetTheMedia Perth have been locked in and it is a stellar event for all communicators, marketers and business owners that are looking to engage the media.

In March the first in-person #MeetTheMedia event was held since the pandemic put us in cautious mode last year and it sold out five weeks before the event opened its doors. This event on September 1st is expected to sell out two months before with one of the strongest media line-ups that Media Stable has put together.

#MeetTheMedia has been running now for five years now across the country and has educated thousands of business owners, communicators, marketers, brand managers, anyone that has been entrusted with the communications of their personal or business brand. It is designed for all businesses and not-for-profits that have an interest in telling their story the way a story needs to be told today.

“To get the very key decision makers of media in the one room for half a day to share their experience, knowledge and what their day looks like is so important for those looking to communicate with a modern media. For the media to take a half day to connect, engage and interact with the very people looking to communicate with them is a pot of opportunity to discover new stories and experts.” Said Nic Hayes The host of #MeetTheMedia and Managing Director of Media Stable.

The day starts with two panels of media working through their day, what makes a story for them, the do’s and don’ts, and a little more about them. After morning tea the room breaks into workshops where media will hear from the attendees what they do, their challenges and a pitched story or two.

“The attendees of #MeetTheMedia are just as fascinated with the networking with other attendees as they are with the media. Some amazing connections and stories are brought together in the room with other businesses that they share common goals and ideas with”

Media in attendance on September the 1st at the Australian Institute of Management WA 8.30am – 1.00pm include:

6PR Breakfast Host: Gareth Parker
The West Australian Deputy Editor and Triple M Breakfast Host: Jenna Clarke
Nine News 5PM Executive Producer: Saskia Loosjes
The West Australian: Kim MacDonald
Business News Managing Editor: Sean Cowan
Channel 10 News COS: Daniel Donnelly
Channel 7 News: Kirsty Sprigg

There is another three media from 7 News, Community News and a mystery co-host from the media to work the room with Nic Hayes.

“It’s educational, it’s fun and makes the world of difference to both media and the attendees of the event.”
