McGowan on a “Do Over” public holiday: “I hadn’t thought of that”

Premier Mark McGowan joined Mix94.5’s Pete, Matt and Kymba Breakfast show this morning and said that a “do over” public holiday is something he actually hadn’t thought about.
McGowan said: “Yeah I’ll think about that one. No-one has raised that with me and I normally try and think of all the options, “You’re saying we do the ANZAC public holiday again…”
The full chat also talks about the logistical difficulty in locking down a city at short notice. In particular, McGowan explains why the basketball and rugby went ahead on Friday night. It turns out it was a legal issue.
