London International Awards 2022 reveals Heath & Wellness, Pharma & Medical, Heath & Wellness – Craft and Pharma & Medical – Craft juries
Following the return to onsite judging in Las Vegas for 2022, LIA has announced the Jury Presidents and jury members who will be meticulously looking at and awarding work for Health & Wellness, Pharma & Medical and Health & Wellness – Craft and Pharma & Medical – Craft.
Filmgraphics, Sydney executive producer Anna Fawcett (pictured above) will represent Australia on the Health & Wellness – Craft and Pharma & Medical – Craft jury as a jury member.
This year, the Health & Wellness jury will be led by Tim Hawkey, chief creative officer of AREA 23.
Says Hawkey: “I’m really looking forward to presiding over the Health and Wellness jury this year. Winning at LIA has long been among the highest accolades in the industry, so it will be an honor to help set the bar for excellence this year. I’m impressed with the commitment the LIA organizers have made to increasing gender and racial diversity on their juries, and I’m looking forward to having previously underrepresented voices join in on the debate.”
Laura Florence (above), executive creative director of Havas Life, will assume the position of Jury President for Pharma & Medical. On chairing this jury she says: “Being president of the Pharma & Medical jury during the post-pandemic resumption is a massive responsibility. I want to be a part of telling future generations about this historic moment because brand communication is a portrait of a time. I’m hoping to be able to tell you about how tough, brave, and inventive we were.”
While ideas for these media are becoming increasingly important, craft is also a significant element when it comes to award winning ideas. Heading the Health & Wellness – Craft and Pharma & Medical – Craft jury is Collette Douaihy (above), global chief creative officer of Dentsu Health. She is a creative giant who excels not just in award-winning ideas but also in the fine art of crafting them to the highest standard.
Says Douaihy: “Craft should be at the heart of everything we do in advertising. Attention to detail can turn a simple idea into a profound experience. Elevating craft takes extra time, commitment, and money, but when done right, those details have the power to move an audience.”
This year, for the first time, the juries for Health & Wellness as well as Pharma & Medical will have the opportunity to pick an extra Grand LIA each. This new Grand LIA will be selected specifically from the Public Service/Social Responsibility gold winners.
Says Barbara Levy, president, LIA: “We feel that Public Service/Social Responsibility work deserves to have its own Grand LIA, apart from the other categories. It’s time to shine a light on the work done for the good of the public in the area of Health & Wellness, as well as, Pharma & Medical, especially as they have to navigate more restrictions than work in the same category in other competitions. We are confident that these two juries will be able to set the bar appropriately for these inaugural Grand LIAs.”
