Seven West Media’s Annette Herbert has taken out Initiative’s coveted Media Partner of the Year (MPOY) award for 2022. Now in its tenth year, MPOY recognizes the exceptional efforts and collaborative partnerships provided by media representatives across WA’s burgeoning media industry.
The annual Media Partner of the Month Awards program provides Initiative with an ongoing platform to express the agency’s gratitude and honours the work of its partners at a local level.
At a recent “star-studded” gala event, Herbert accepted the top honours with Initiative’s Head of Partnerships Brianna Wells citing Herbert’s pivotal supporting role and proactive nature to finding the most effective solutions as the deciding factors.
Wells said: “Annette’s exceptional abilities truly warrants this industry recognition. Her immense understanding of the ever-evolving media landscape, the diverse needs of clients, and the intricate workings of agencies sets her apart from her peers.
“She consistently goes above and beyond for our clients and the entire Initiative team. Notably, she possesses the remarkable talent of offering strategic recommendations with a proactive approach which challenge us and deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.”
David Burger, Managing Director, Initiative, said: “We are honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with exceptional talent across Perth’s thriving media industry. The caliber of talent in WA is truly outstanding and Annette’s win is well-deserved recognition among a pool of outstanding candidates, and is a testament to her remarkable work, which serves as an inspiring example to the entire industry.
“And, of course it also gives the industry an excuse to celebrate at a fantastic party where we have the opportunity to not only thank our media partners and celebrate the ultimate winner but also collectively congratulate the 11 other monthly winners for 2022.”
Herbert said: “Winning Media Partner of the Year from such a respected agency was a brilliant surprise and truly highlights the value Initiative places on their media partners. Since working with Initiative, I have always felt like a true partner and together with their clients, we have had the opportunity to implement market first integrations that continue to deliver for clients.
“Having started my advertising career at Initiative back when it was Merchant & Partners (showing my age there!!), this is extra special! I am supported by a great team at Seven, especially Krys Campbell and Lauren Bradley and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Initiative.”
