Hannah Muirhead and Dean Hunt launch ‘CHAPTER’

Having recently departed The Brand Agency, former Head of Brand Strategy Hannah Muirhead and ECD Dean Hunt have today announced the launch of CHAPTER. A brand leadership company, Chapter combines strategy, creativity and humanity to provide brand leadership for ambitious brands.

 

In a release to Campaign Brief the duo explained their philosophy.

Chapter (noun)
1. a division of written work, narrative, or story
2. distinctive period in history or in a person’s life.
3. collective body of a community, a monastic or knightly order
4. a branch of society or community group
5. a formal meeting of canons, headed by a dean
6. a general assembly of minds, sometimes secretive and rebellious in nature

With their ethos to ‘let the brand lead the way’ Chapter’s approach is built upon effective long-term thinking, collaborative partnerships, and the power of crafted creativity.

Chapter is set-up to seek out human insights, build long-term brand platforms that emotionally engage audiences, and inspire category-challenging creative campaigns that people actually want to see.

Specialising in Brand Creation and Transformation, Business Growth, and Behaviour Change platforms – Chapter’s model is designed to foster long- term, mutually beneficial partnerships with clients and crafting-partners alike.

Chapter are already working on a brand platform for an exciting scale-up in the circular economy space, a brand creation project with a start-up out of Tasmania and a leading WA not-for-profit provider.

Founder Strategy Partner, Hannah Muirhead, said: “I’ve been lucky enough to work with Dean for over half a decade now.

“Over the years we found that when we worked as a team, putting strategy and creative minds around client projects from start to finish, something magic happened in terms of creativity and effectiveness. It was this approach that inspired us to create Chapter. It’s such a pleasure to be back on the tools again.”

Founder Creative Partner, Dean Hunt, said: “Well, this is all rather exciting – hold onto your hats!”

And then he calmed down a bit and said something a little more ‘launch-like’.

“Brands live in the minds of people. Often found in those mysterious spaces somewhere between synapses firing. Part science, part magic – brands are both emotional and rational, strategic and creative, a combination of head and heart. Chapter will take a less linear more human approach to brand creation by using a potent mix of strategy, creativity and humanity.

“We will partner with client partners to clarify, create and craft platforms and creative campaigns willing to challenge category-norms, and get results.

“Partnering with Hannah – the biggest brand brain and best human around – is also a real bonus. Here’s to strategic smarts and creative sparks. Here’s to the next Chapter.”

Hunt spent the past 7 years at The Brand Agency, joining as a Creative Director in July 2018, and then serving as Executive Creative Director since July 2021. Having joined TBA in 2016 from Meerkats, Muirhead was elevated from Strategy Director to Head of Brand Strategy in 2021, before leaving the agency in July.

Chapter’s brand design was done in partnership with WA design studio, Nativ Design.
