Google Australia and New Zealand’s Melanie Silva joins The West Australian for an exclusive Leadership Matters event Wednesday July 26

As Managing Director and Vice President for Google Australia and New Zealand, Melanie Silva understands the power of providing people with knowledge.

In her efforts to fulfil Google’s mission to users and the community, Silva commits herself to helping businesses grow, overseeing the tech giant’s sales, partnerships and platform activity both here and across the pond.

Since joining Google in 2007, she has worked numerous roles in various regions and has always sought to leave environments in better shape than she found them.

With an eye on change, Silva is driving initiatives to improve diversity, equity and inclusion in her industry, and currently chairs the Google Australia and New Zealand Diversity Council.

Silva will be a special guest for The West Australian’s award-winning Leadership Matters series, Wednesday July 26 at Crown Perth.

Leadership Matters provides a stage for individuals with national and international profiles to express what they believe makes a great leader as they pull back the curtain on the struggles and triumphs of leadership in their chosen fields, and how their learnings can be applied to yours.
