Good Times: Inaugural Longreach Media golf day in support of the Perron Institute

A chance to play out for a $200,000 hole in one sparked the imagination of industry hopefuls at the inaugural Longreach Media golf day in support of the Perron Institute for Neurological Research.

Organised as a “no pressure” Ambrose event the golf day bought together key industry contacts of Longreach exhibiting the broadest spectrum of golfing ability but with the single aim of having some fun while supporting a very worthy cause.

Perron Institutes’ Jim Murphy provided participants with some insights into the vital research being undertaken by Perron in areas such as infant stroke, and osteosarcoma before players hit the course.

In a hotly contested battle of the airwaves, 96FM nudged out Austereo to take second place behind the winning team of the day, The Perron Institute.

With the winners forfeiting their chance to tee off for the hole in one, Longreach’s John Driscoll was quick to auction off the coveted first prize to the highest bidder, a prize ultimately claimed by Peter Aquilina.
