Firefly360 launches new work for WAGPET to help support doctors across WA

WAGPET have partnered with creative digital agency Firefly360 to deliver a new website to train and support doctors to work where they are needed most.

The Western Australia General Practice Education and Training (WAGPET) is the sole provider of the federally funded Australian General Practice Training program (AGPT) in WA. The program takes doctors seeking to specialise as general practitioners through to fellowship – the highest recognition for a GP.

The new site delivers a fully responsive design so that users across desktop, tablet and mobile all receive the best possible experience for their device, along with a facility finder to help GP registrars choose where and how they complete a complete a GP training term.

Firefly360’s managing director Andrew Mathwin says it was a huge undertaking to deliver a world class multi-device responsive experience, but something very special and extremely rewarding to be part of.

“WAGPET is the sole training provider for GPs right across more than 290 centres in WA. We knew given this scope and GPs limited time it needed to be easy to navigate, highly mobile responsive and we needed to ensure registrars and doctors were able to access to relevant training resources quickly. This undertaking from early planning to deployment has delivered a world class result,” said Mathwin.

Chief Program Officer for WAGPET Sonia Miller said partnering with Firefly360 brought a new level of digital excellence to their range of services; “WAGPET has worked with Firefly to create a product that meets the needs for registrars and GPs in the most visual way possible. Firefly have been just excellent from start to finish – always available, proactive, practical, patient and willing to put us on the right path to get the best result.”

Firefly360 was a national finalist in the Australian Web Awards for their website for ERGT, Australia’s safety training specialists in high-risk workplace environments.
