Emergence Creative Festival returns in 2020: March 25 – 27 in Margaret River

Emergence Creative Festival has announced it will return to the Margaret River region in 2020 after taking a gap year in 2019.

The festival, which attracts professionals and emerging creatives from disciplines like music, film, photography, advertising, digital and the visual arts, will run from Wednesday 25th – Friday 27th March, 2020 and feature a two-day conference, workshops and satellite events.

The theme for 2020 is ‘Human connection in a post-digital world’ and the festival will explore whether our digital attachment is detaching us from the human experience.

Throughout the two-day conference, keynotes from across Australia and the world will share their journeys and experiences, exploring how they – and we – can harness the benefits of new tech, dodge the pitfalls and connect as people in a post-digital landscape.

Emergence Creative Festival 2020 will be the seventh instalment of the festival, which has been an important driver for the creative industries in Western Australia since its inception.

Festival Director Erin Molloy said that all industries could benefit from the festival.

“Every industry needs creativity, not just the arts. Emergence serves as a platform to connect people from different industries, share ideas, learn new concepts and how to implement them and facilitate meaningful conversations.

“Taking place in the stunning surrounds of the Margaret River region allows people to disconnect from their everyday grind and open themselves up to new ideas. You leave your job title at the door and connect with people from all kinds of backgrounds and disciplines.”

The first round of speakers, along with Early Bird ticket sales will be announced in mid-September.
