Delve deeper tomorrow at IN:WA’s discussion on mental health in the creative industries

IN:WA’s next in-person event is happening Tuesday 15th November at Backlot Perth from 3.30pm. Join industry titan Andy Wright and guest speakers as they delve into the latest insights from the Mentally Healthy survey data.

The creative industry is a tough place.

According to recent studies carried out by Mentally Healthy, people within the industry are 20% more likely to experience signs of depression than the general public.

The challenges of mental health get a lot of press. To propel positive change, however, it’s essential to understand the driving factors that overcome those challenges and contribute to greater wellbeing in the creative industries.

It’s why the Mentally Healthy survey was created — to find answers that guide much-needed change in our community.

The survey’s 100% run by volunteers and is supported by UnLtd, Never Not Creative and Energx, three organisations dedicated to social good in the creative industry and workplaces.

In 2022, the 3rd Mentally Healthy survey was sent out and the results are in. The Delve Deeper discussion event will reveal game-changing insights from the survey and facilitate an important discussion about how we can better navigate mental health challenges.

The panel discussion will be led by Andy Wright, a highly respected leader in the industry who holds titles like Co-chair of Mentally Healthy Change Group, Creator of Never Not Creative, and Managing Director of Streamtime.

Joining Wright as guest panellists are creative industry members Tanya Sim, the founder of Block Branding, and Martin Wilson, an AACTA nominated film director, who will each add their perspectives on mental health to the discussion.

The event will be held at Backloft, Perth’s only purpose-built private screening room for functions, presentations and big screen events.

It’ll be illuminating and informing. Plus, there will be drinks and nibbles along with other forward-thinking industry crew. Tickets are limited and will go quickly.

Free for IN:WA members (up to five free tickets).
$20 + bf for non-members.
