On June 9th, concept on delivered the 1st of 3 social media workshops they’ll be running this year. The workshop, presented in the City of Perth’s library in association with Business Foundations, taught a diverse group of local business owners and digital marketers how to leverage social media in order to grow their businesses.

 

concept on, perth’s holistic, customer experience-focussed brand agency, were represented by their Co-Founder Josh Grapes, and their Digital Marketer, Dylan Bernstein.

They educated the participants on how to write a social media strategy for their business, how to create and curate engaging content for their social media channels, and how to plan and schedule content in advance using a social media calendar.

The value of social media for businesses was reinforced early by Josh Grapes, who said “Social media is how you connect with and grow your tribe of adoring fans. It helps businesses start the relationship with their customer, making it easier to convert sales and upsell-ability.”

At the end of the workshop, concept on provided the participants with free resources to help them capitalise on their new knowledge, concept on’s very own social media calendar, which they themselves use when planning out content for their own and client’s social media posting.

The speakers for this monthly event are organised by Business Foundations Client Liaison Manager Sarah Williams, who said “The workshop engagement from participants exceeded our expectations and the turnout was amazing for such a cold, rainy morning.”

The workshop, along with the complimentary networking event and breakfast, was organised by City of Perth Business Development Officer Jacqui Zanetti, who said “We’re really happy we were able to further support our Perth business owners by providing this highly practical learnings.”

concept on’s next social media workshop will be running in August with the 1-hour presentation being expanded into a 3-hour, hands-on workshop. Their final confirmed workshop for the year thus far will be delivered in September with the Melville Chamber of Commerce.
