Clockwork Films welcomes Samuel Bennetts and Mitchel Loveday to their roster of directors

Director Samuel Bennetts and talented young gun Mitchel Loveday have joined the Clockwork Films family, with both directors sole repped across the Australian & New Zealand markets.

 

Katie Trew, EP at Clockwork Films WA, said: “This is an exciting evolution of the Clockwork Films director roster, and we can’t wait to see what these guys will create this year. Samuel is at the absolute pinnacle of his career and Mitch is an insanely talented young director.”

Sydney born Bennetts (pictured left) brings a unique blend of storytelling and cinematic craftsmanship to the screen, which sees him in constant demand the world over. Bennetts has had success at a great variety of award shows including, Clio, MTV, ARIA, VMA, Flickerfest and The Markies, not to mention a string of VFX awards.

Having a diverse background in theatre, music videos and short films led him into the realm of commercial advertising, where he has created engaging narratives and campaigns for brands like CBA, Vanish, P&O, Audi, Toyota, Mazda and Credit One. As well as installations and activations for brands such as Dell, GE and Target.

Bennetts goes beyond just producing effective ads; he crafts stories, combining visual effects and authentic character portrayal, all the while maintaining focus on the narrative in every project.

Loveday (pictured right) is a talented emerging director who already has some impressive work on his reel, including spots for Panasonic, Jose Cuervo, P&O and The Kraken. Loveday’s sets are a testament to his belief that filmmaking should be a joyous journey, choosing to anchor his focus on real fun, genuine laughter and authentic storytelling. Definitely a director to keep an eye on, one with a very bright future.

Loveday says: “I have been following Clockwork’s incredible journey for some time, so joining the roster is a dream come true. I have been so warmly welcomed into the fold and can’t wait to get shooting with the team.”
