Channel 7 Perth launches into a massive 2024 with guest of honour, Ant Middleton
On Tuesday evening, stars of the Seven network mingled with advertising agencies, clients and partners to celebrate the exciting upcoming television schedule for the year.
The evening held at Seven West Media offices kicked off with drinks and canapes, with guests being treated to a live performance by former Australian Idol finalist, Sash Seabourne.
A raft of Seven stars including, Ricki-Lee, Dr Chris Brown, Sunrise and Morning Show hosts also appeared on screens to welcome guests to the event.
7NEWS Presenter Tim McMillan hosted the evening and welcomed the recently announced new Dancing with the Stars contestant and 7NEWS Sports Presenter Ben Cousins. Ben shared with the audience how his rehearsals are progressing and the unexpected enjoyment of stepping out of his comfort zone.
Ant Middleton from SAS: Australia then provided an insight into instructing and challenging the show’s contestants and the army mentality he adopts while filming. Ant also spoke fondly of his “life changing experience” at his first Telethon in 2023.
McMillan said: “Whichever way you cut it, Seven was number one – national, metro, regional, survey or calendar… and here in Perth we continued our dominance, winning Total People and the key demos of People 25-54 and 16-39s.”
Ray Kuka, Director of 7NEWS, provided guests insights into the inner workings of the Perth newsroom and emphasized their unwavering commitment to delivering live and local news.
The upcoming year’s lineup of Seven’s trusted formats, including Middleton’s SAS Australia, MKR, Dancing With The Stars, The Voice, and Farmer Wants a Wife, are all set to return.
Joining Guy Sebastian on the Voice in 2024 will be three new superstar coaches – LeAnn Rimes, Adam Lambert and Kate Miller-Heidke.
Coming to the screens of Seven in 2024 are key programs: Dream Home, hosted by Chris Brown, an “inspiring new renovation competition”, and Stranded on Honeymoon Island, described as “the hottest new dating social experiment where couples are matched by experts before being sensationally stranded on a deserted island with nothing but their wedding gear.”
