Channel 7 Perth has released their annual overall survey analysis that shows the station continues to dominate as the leading network in Western Australia and nationwide.

 

In a Seven PR statement released today the end of the 2023 OzTAM survey year on December 2nd revealed that Seven had come out in front of all other networks across a multitude of measurements. Seven led the way this survey year, winning every week of the year with a 48% commercial share in Perth and a 57.2% share regionally.

Seven was #1 in total people and took the #1 position in key demos, including people 25-54 and 16-39 in Perth.

7NEWS has been the #1 news program in Perth since OzTAM ratings began 22 years ago. This year, 7NEWS again came out on top with a commercial share of 47%.

Sunrise also held an extraordinary commercial share of 64.3% in Perth in 2023.

Seven’s successful broadcast of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ saw ratings records smashed. The Semi Final between the Matildas and England reached an astonishing nationwide audience of 11 million people including 949,000 people in WA and was the biggest TV viewing event in more than 20 years. It was also the most streamed event ever in Australia, with 957,000 viewers on 7plus.

Seven’s entertainment formats, including SAS Australia, Farmer Wants A Wife, My Kitchen Rules and Dancing With The Stars, increased their audiences nationally and in Perth this year, while The 1% Club was the #1 new entertainment show of 2023. Compared to its average audience in 2022, SAS Australia was up by 17%, Farmer Wants A Wife increased by 5%, My Kitchen Rules saw an 8% rise, and Dancing With The Stars grew 7%.

Over the Telethon weekend, Seven’s 26-hour broadcast was the #1 entertainment program. Telethon’s opening show reached 254,000 West Aussies, who all tuned in to kickstart the weekend that raised $77.5 million for WA’s sick kids.
