AdSchool is running its Core Strategic Planning course for industry young guns in Perth from July 28 with a stellar line of up facilitators, but you need to be quick to book as there are only a few spots left!

The interactive eight-week course – a crucial stepping stone for young up and comers looking to sharpen their skills in strategic planning – will take place in both virtual and live-session format, combining video lectures from top industry leaders, face-to-face mentoring and in-person workshops.

This year’s WA course facilitator is Rare GM of Customer Insights and Marketing Jez Reilly, who will be joined by some of the best advertising strategy executives in the country for the course’s interactive video sessions.

They include VMLY&R’s Alison Tilling, BMF’s Jennifer Rhodes and Christina Aventi, Havas’ Nick Kavanagh, DDB’s Frances Clayton, Saatchi & Saatchi’s Alex Speakman, Wunderman Thompson’s Melanie Wiese, and The Monkey’s Michael Derepas.

“Core Strategic Planning is a critical course for advertising professionals starting out in their career as it provides a good understanding on the fundamentals of effective strategy,” said course facilitator Jez Reilly.

“In this industry things move fast and many people don’t often get the chance to learn on the run.

“This course will give you a sound understanding of the essentials needed to become a strategic and valued member of your team, covering everything from the how to utilise research and uncover great insights, work with creatives, write great briefs, plan campaigns, and measure effectiveness – a solid foundation to build a strategic career on,” he said.
