Fragomeni and Gallagher look to the future with rebrand of Brainestorm Studios as Cue Sound
After nearly twenty years at the forefront of the WA commercial audio post production scene, Brainestorm Studios is re-launching as Cue Sound.
Mike Fragomeni and Nick Gallagher (below centre) took ownership of Brainestorm in 2015 and have since undertaken a complete refurbishment of the studio facilities, as well as constructing a specialised Foley and ADR recording space. The rebrand marks the completion of the upgrade process and the launch of a full service post-production sound facility – the first of its kind in Perth.
“Over the past three-and-a-half years, the business has changed significantly. It’s now time for our name and brand to reflect that,” said Gallagher.
The rebranding coincides with recent changes in studio personnel.
Lucy Messenger (right) has moved into a newly established role as Long Format Producer, where she will also specialise in Foley recording.
Chloe Hardingham (second right) has taken on the role aof Commercial Producer. Both are accomplished audio engineers, giving them a deep understanding of the production process.
Sound designer and music producer Daniel Johnston (far left) completes the new creative audio team.
The Cue Sound team will celebrate their re-launch at Si Paradiso tomorrow night, with the name change officially taking effect from February 1.

Well done. Look forward to working with you lot.
I thought there was still a lot of brand power left in the Brainestorm name. To me it’s a bit like renaming Coca-Cola Bubbly Brown Water!
