Rare has launched a new campaign for funeral directors, Bowra & O’Dea and Leanne O’Dea with the tagline ‘Because the little things are everything’.
With the help of director Alex Feggans and the team at Sandbox, Rare has produced a suite of TVCs that are a departure from the usual messaging for this category. The 60-second brand TVC doesn’t focus on death. Instead, it encourages the audience pause their busy lives and appreciate the little moments.
Rare CD, Liz Hammond says: “Dealing with death every day gives funeral directors a clear perspective on what’s important in life. In conversation with the Bowra & O’Dea staff and it came up time and time again that it’s the little things that people miss most about their loved ones. So we wanted to remind our audience not to miss out on those incredibly precious moments.”
The brand message is supported by several 15-second TVCs that demonstrate how this philosophy translates into their service offering.

The campaign features the WAMi award-winning song ‘Currents’ by local band, The Hunting Birds.
