Block launches into the New Year off the Back of East Coast and International property wins

Block has hit the ground running in 2023 after a series of new business wins at the tail-end of last year, including Eastern Creek Quarter Shopping Centre (Sydney), Quintessential Equity (Melbourne) and Denise Kuriger Design (New York and L.A.).

Following on from the outstanding results of Block’s relaunch of Karrinyup in 2021, and the rebrand and ongoing leasing success of Frasers Property’s flagship Perth asset, Central Park, Block has expanded its retail property portfolio, winning strategic and creative marketing services for Frasers Property’s Eastern Creek Quarter (ECQ) Shopping Centre in Sydney’s West.

“Karrinyup’s launch, and the subsequent attention the campaign garnered in the retail sector nationally last year, led to this exciting opportunity. ECQ is in a period of extensive growth in one of the fastest growing population centres in the country. To be given the chance to help shape its future is a privilege,” says Natalie Jenkins, Block’s CEO.

Interestingly, Block isn’t the first Perth-based business to find a home at ECQ, with iconic fast-service brand Chicken Treat opening their first outlet outside of WA launching there at the end of 2022.

Block has also been appointed by Melbourne-based property private equity group Quintessential Equity to handle marketing and creative services for special brand-building projects.

Adam Poole, Block’s Director of Client Services, said: “Block’s long track-record in the Perth CBD market stretches from the launch of Brookfield Place a decade ago to 2022’s brand development of OneNinety – Tattarang-owned Fiveight’s first commercial project. We’ve become experts at helping asset owners and managers articulate meaningful differences to the market while working with leasing agents to deliver on their more pragmatic needs.”

Internationally, Block has been engaged to reposition and rebrand luxury interior design firm Denise Kuriger Design (DKD). Working out of New York and Los Angeles, DKD delivers purposefully-tailored and impeccably-crafted commercial and residential environments globally for the world’s most discerning clients in incredible locations from Malibu to Manhattan, the Hamptons to Lake Tahoe, the Bahamas to Sydney.

“Collaborating with a client such as DKD, who themselves are obsessed with the craft of what they produce and work at the highest level globally, has been an absolute pleasure and thrill,” continued Poole, “And it is always great to start the new year with such momentum and a plethora of exciting projects and wins.”
