AWARD School 2025 School Heads revealed

AWARD School, APAC’s leading course for aspiring creatives, has revealed its School Heads for 2025 alongside exciting updates for the upcoming program. Now in its 41st year, the renowned 12-week course has launched the careers of global creative leaders, including David Droga, Kim Pick, and Leo Premutico, and continues to be a hub for nurturing exceptional talent.

 

The School Heads for 2025 are:
Joint National / NSW School Heads:
Scott Dettrick, Executive Creative Director, M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ
Sharon Edmondston, Group Creative Director

Joint VIC School Heads:
Ryan Clayton, Creative Director, The Taboo Group
Huei Yin Wong, Senior Art Director, Howatson+Co

Online School Head:
Kiah Nicholas, Associate Creative Director & Innovation Lead, BMF Australia

WA School Head:
Tim Newton, Creative Lead, VML Perth

QLD School Head:
Ryan Petie, Executive Creative Director, Publicis Worldwide

SA School Head:
Corey Swaffer, Executive Creative Director, kwpx Agency

This year welcomes Tim Newton as AWARD School WA School Head and Ryan Petie as QLD School Head, both bringing extensive experience in commercial creativity. Their leadership will play a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of talent.

Participants will tackle 10 diverse briefs across formats such as film, social media, digital, outdoor, and print. These briefs are designed to reflect industry trends in AI, sustainability, and emerging technologies. Weekly lectures from top creative leaders, paired with tutorials at leading agencies, will immerse students in the expectations of creative excellence.

This year’s program will offer greater access to mentorship through the AWARD School Community Hub and post-lecture events. Students will receive direct support from course leaders, tutors, and School Heads to refine their skills and gain invaluable feedback.

The online program continues to provide aspiring creatives from across the region the opportunity to participate, ensuring accessibility for all students regardless of location.
