Australia scores 24 finalists in second round of AdFest shortlist announcement

Australia has scored 24 finalists in the second round of finalists at ADFEST 2023.

 

16 finalists from Australia have made the cut in the Film Craft Lotus category led by FINCH Sydney with nine finalists including four shortlists for UNHCR ‘The Reluctant Shanty’ via BMF; two for Neds ‘The Neds Level’ via The Monkeys and one for Toyota Hilux ‘The Visitor’ via Saatchi & Saatchi Australia; Destination NSW ‘Feel New’ via Leo Burnett Australia and Tourism Australia ‘G’Day’ via M&C Saatchi Sydney.

Rumble Studios has scored two in Film Craft for NRMA ‘Duel’ via Bear Meets Eagle On Fire.

Aussie companies scoring one finalist apiece in the Film Craft category include Fin Design + Effects for Hyundai ‘Hyundai Have You Tried It’ via Innocean Australia; Heckler Sydney for Vodafone ‘Vodafone – The Smart Network’ via DDB Group Aotearoa; Alt.VFX for James Squire ‘Ordinary Be Damned’ via Milk + Honey United; Smith & Western Sound for Coopers Beer ‘Coopers Roll On’ via TABOO and Squeak E. Clean Studios for Budweiser ‘Budweiser Tomorrow Is Yours To Take’ via Wieden + Kennedy New York + Sao Paulo.

Dentsu Creative ANZ has been shortlisted twice in the Film Lotus category, once for TVNZ ‘Wrong Ride’ and once for TVNZ ‘The Hit’ via Sweetshop Auckland.

Leo Burnett Australia’s Bundaberg Rum ‘Bundy Mixer’ has been shortlisted once in the Brand Experience Lotus category and once in the PR Lotus category. The agency has also been shortlisted in the PR Lotus category for Suncorp ‘Resilience Road’.

TBWA Sydney has been shortlisted twice in the PR Lotus category for Consent Labs ‘Classify Consent’ and R Plates.

Squeak E. Clean Studios has also been shortlisted in the PR Lotus category for Australian Navy ‘The Audio Ad You Can See’ via VMLY&R Australia.
