Australia scores 2 Yellow Pencils, 4 Graphite and 10 Wood Pencils on final night of D&AD Awards

Following the second of two digital ceremonies, today, D&AD has announced the remaining Pencil winners with Australia picking up a further two Yellow Pencils, four Graphite Pencils and 10 Wood Pencils.

 

On night two, Howatson+Company has picked up another Yellow Pencil, two Graphite Pencils and three Wood Pencils for Matilda Bay ‘Rejected Ales’, plus another Wood Pencil for Belong ‘The Book of Limbo’. The result has lead them to being named Independent Agency of the Year and ranking 7th most awarded agency globally.

AKQA Australia has picked up another Yellow Pencil plus one Wood Pencil for Tennis Australia ‘Action Audio’. Graphite Pencils also went to Interbrand Australia for Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children ‘NextSense’ and DDB Sydney for Volkswagen Group Australia ‘The Ad Break Championship – GTI Hijack’.

Host/Havas has scored two Wood Pencils for Australian Federal Police ‘Crime Interrupted’. Australian agencies scoring one Wood Pencil on night two include Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for CUB ‘VB Solar Exchange’, Leo Burnett Australia for Suncorp ‘One House to Save Many’ and Denomination for Fourth Wave Wine ‘Tread Softly Botanicals Gin’.

A further three Black Pencils were awarded: Leo Burnett Chicago for Change the Ref ‘The Lost Class’, Google Brand Studio for Google ‘Real Tone’ and adam&eveDDB London for Frontline19 ‘Hopeline19’.
