Following its acquisition by Mercury Capital, Bauer Media Australia has been rebranded as ARE Media, with representation in WA continuing via Media Tonic.
Media Tonic Managing Director David Fare believes the change in ownership and identity will deliver a refreshed local focus to Australian storytelling.
“ARE is Audience, Reach and Engagement, and they’ve been core strengths historically, but there’s innovation and novelty ahead. The ARE tagline is ‘Be Captivated’ and this is an excellent representation of how deeply our audiences engage in food, fashion, beauty, homes, entertainment and lifestyle.
“People don’t just read, they savour and soak-up the content. Media has become experiential, and the new tagline reminds us that these brands are immersive; across magazines, digital, social, video, customer review sites, TV and podcasts.”

The new company is setting its sights for 2021 with a virtual showcase on Thursday, November 5.
