AdSchool Account Management course becomes a RARE experience: Commencing March 31

AdSchool has been delivering exceptional courses in a variety of “Advertising” related disciplines for over 26 years. Being an AdSchool lecturer is highly regarded by the industry and a benefit reserved for member agencies of The Communications Council.

Simon Stewart (Group Account Director at RARE – the newest member of The Communications Council) is thrilled to be delivering the AdSchool Account Management for Tomorrow course, kicking off on the 31st March.

The aim of the course is to turn a good account person into a great account person; one who doesn’t merely manage, but leads and directs a client’s business with confidence, often in unexpected and original ways. It incorporates the critical combination of hard skills (strategic development, research, creative development and evaluation, digital, media, pitching) and soft skills (confidence and relationship-building, personal branding, career planning).

A driven marketing professional with experience on both the client and agency side, Simon commenced his career in Perth before spending two years in London working with national broadcaster British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB) as a Marketing Manager.

Following his return to Perth in early 2013, Simon joined RARE and is now the Group Account Director, a role he has held for the past 3 years. Having worked with numerous agencies throughout his career, he knows what makes good account service and always strives to deliver the best for his clients.

On top of the Group Account Director role, Simon is responsible for a broad portfolio of work. His specific client experience spans Government, Not-for-Profit and the Private sector and includes the MRA (leading the Yagan Square and Elizabeth Quay place brand projects), Mirvac, Plunkett Homes, WACA, No Birds car rental, West Coast Eagles and Transperth.
