Ad Council launches 8-week Advanced Strategic Planning course from September 23

AdSchool’s Advanced Strategic Planning course kicks off in Perth from September 23, providing attendees with a valuable overview of the entire brand development process to help make the best brand-building decisions.

Over eight weeks, the course will teach about ideal brand development including key stages such as identifying business opportunities, strategy, audience segmentation, defining insights, communications and the measurement of results.

A series of pre-recorded lectures from some of the best strategic planners across Australia will bring textbook theory to life, accompanied by real-life examples from experts who are successfully building brands right now. Weekly practical tutorials will also help attendees put theory into practice.

WA course facilitator, Smiljka Dimitrijevic (pictured), Strategy Director at 303MullenLowe, said the newly revamped AdSchool course means that attendees will hear from industry leaders from across the country, as part of a national, more cohesive approach to the AdSchool program of learning.

“AdSchool’s Advanced Strategic Planning course offers inspiration, provocation and practical application, and is aimed at experienced planners or marketers who want to expand their skill set in developing brands.”

“One of the lessons both planners and marketers will take away from this course is that a clear process is critical to achieving an effective strategy. The principles are the same whether you’re working on a business strategy, marketing strategy or a specific communications strategy, the nuance is in the detail.”

The course runs from 23 September – 11 November (8 weeks) and comprises 2.5 hours a week (1-hour video lecture, 1.5 hour in-person session and assessments)
